BELLA'S STORY
Bella was the daughter of our Raider and the mother of Gunnar. Bella was the first-born in a litter of puppies born at Barbelka. As a tiny baby, she wore a green wool collar.
Bella had quite a successful show career. She was the top points-winning Norwegian Elkhound bitch in the UK in 2011 (Ch Touvere Thea Trophy). She was also the top Puppy Bitch 2011 (Rebekka Puppy Bitch Candelabra) and Best Puppy at Crufts 2011.
Bella was a slow maturer, like so many of our dogs (they tend to last longer in the show ring that way). She won the RCC at the Hound Association in 2012 under Brian Middleton.
Bella had a big personality for such a petite girl and was always ready for any activity - in fact, just try leaving her out of things! She was a loving and intelligent girl. Her best friend was Ekko, with whom she had a special bond from when she was very young.
In the ring, Bella was often complimented for her square outline, her dark eyes, her femininity and her beautiful, clear undercoat.
In February 2014, Bella whelped a litter of four males. From this litter we have kept her son, Gunnar, who has joined the Conrick show team.
