KOBI'S STORY
Kobi joined us in October 2014, through the incredible generosity of his co-owners, Sally Simmonds and Maggie Mott of the renowned Kamgaard Kennels in the USA. We were so privileged to have this superb male join our kennel.
Kobi had a wonderful show career in the US and Canada and has also proved himself to be an outstanding sire. A son was the #1 winning Norwegian Elkhound by group points in Australia in 2014 and he has several other titled and pointed offspring in the US. Suffice to say that we believe that he has contributed greatly to the gene pool in the UK.
Kobi was of the type, conformation and temperament that we at Kinderhorn/Conrick have always owned and admired and he was proven to sire very well in combination with our UK lines. His own pedigree is a blend of American and UK bloodlines.

Kobi's first major win in the UK came on his very first trip out, when he was crowned Champion of Champions at the NECGB Contest of Champions, in February 2015. He won his first BOB at open show level a few days later. In May, Kobi won his first CC at SKC. He gained his third CC and his UK title at the NECGB Championship Show in April 2017. In 2018, he went BIS at the NECGB Open Show.
Kobi's first UK litter was born in March 2015, at the home of the Ellahyde Norwegian Elkhounds. A son from this litter, Ellahyde Fine N Dandi, was Reserve Best Puppy in Show at the NECGB Open Show and also won the RCC at the NECGB Championship Show under Ralf Campbell in 2018.
Kobi's second UK litter was born in December 2015, at Grasilva Kennels, from the top-winning daughter of our Raider, Ch. Grasilva Gwendoline Mary. Several of the puppies from this exciting litter came out in late 2016, and one of these, Grasilva Cruggleton With Laakso, was awarded 2 RCCs before her second birthday. She is the mother of our Layla.
