Gee (Ch. Grasilva Gwendoline Mary), the top-winning daughter of our Raider, was safely delivered of a litter of three puppies by our Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above). Congratulations to the breeder, Bryony Gray. Interest in a litter with such a fabulous pedigree was intense, as can be imagined, and all three of the puppies will be debuting in the ring in the autumn of 2016. We are so proud of the quality of the young offspring of our co-owned Kamgaard imports and look forward to competing with some of them in the years to come. Many thanks for entrusting both Kobi and Siri to us, Maggie and Sally, and making all this possible. The photo below depicts Grasilva Culderry, aged just under seven weeks.

LKA is the final Championship Show of the Year and Kobi wrapped up the year with a RCC under judge Drew Littlejohn (Arcuilean). Son Toki followed in his illustrious sire's footsteps (at times literally) with his own award - Best Puppy, putting in a sterling performance at only his second show for his novice owner/handler, Danni Medhurst. The video above (created by Dog World) shows father and son in action as the awards in the males were made. [First posted 8 August 2015]
Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) won Best AVNSC Hound and Hound Group 4 for a few more points towards his ShCM title. Keep your fingers crossed he'll get there! [First posted 28 June 2015]
...at Blackpool Show. Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) was Best Dog again, this time under respected Finnish all-rounder Kari Järvinen. In his critique, the judge praised Kobi for his excellent type, correct proportions, excellent topline, front and rear angulation and tail and admired his very good coat and colour. He also commented that he moved very well, as can be seen in the photo above (which was beautifully taken by Peter Hudson). We certainly agree with these comments. [First posted 16 June 2015]
Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) was Best Dog at Three Counties under breed specialist Marjorie Macgregor. We finished a very enjoyable weekend with a two-day visit to assess Siri's litter at Grasilva, who were six-weeks old. We were particularly taken with young Mr Blue. [First posted 16 May 2015] Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) won his first CC at SKC under breed specialist Brian Middleton (Graythor Norwegian Elkhounds). Many thanks to his co-owners, Sally and Maggie at Kamgaard Kennels, USA, for allowing this lovely boy to come and live with us. We are having such fun in the ring with him! [First posted March - April 2015] ....twice in fact! Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) sired his first UK litter in March. The litter was born at the home of the Ellahyde Norwegian Elkhounds. We look forward to seeing some of this litter in the ring later in the year. In April, the lovely import, Siri (Am Ch Kamgaard Kiamesha), safely delivered her first litter at Grasilva. Bryony and I feel honoured to have been given the opportunity of using the very beautiful Rock (Am Ch Horizon Rock Solid), whom we had seen go Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the NEAA Specialty in Boston in April 2014. We believe that this linebred litter will enhance and enrich the tiny UK gene pool. We can't wait for some of this litter to also make their debut in the ring. The ring is going to be an interesting (and competitive) place in the autumn! [First posted on the 21 February 2015]
Kobi (SBIS Am Grand Ch & Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above) was crowned Champion of Champions on only his second time out in the UK, under Julia Swinburn. To make this day even more memorable, Gunnar was also awarded Puppy Dog of the Year and Best Dog in the Stud Book Challenge! He was also revealed as the top-winning Puppy Dog of the Year in the competition for the Club's points trophies. |
